November Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop

Hello!  Hello!   It's the Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop!  Now that so many of you have the SugarPea Designs Holiday Product Release, we're hopping to inspire you!

I designed a set of holiday cards using the Mugs & Kisses set as my focal point:

I'm a big fan of gift cards for any special occasion.  Who wouldn't receive a Starbucks card?!

So let's start at the bottom and work our way up.  I used Bitty Bags from my stash and layered them with SugarCut- Snowflake Tags in grey cardstock.  I stamped the fun background from the Christmas Tag Greetings stamp set and heat embossed in white.

The Mugs & Kisses set has me totally smitten.  If you've been following me for any amount of time, you know that my favorite color is green.  I decided to go with a red + green color palette for my cards.  I stamped the confession sentiment (also from the Christmas Tag Greetings stamp set) on cardstock and used my paper trimmer, corner rounder and a hole punch to make my own tags.  I topped everything off with coordinating twine.

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #37 : Celebrate You

Have you played along with the Mix it Up Challenge over at SugarPea Designs?!  Play with the sketch or the inspiration photo, or a bit of both!  You have all month to play along with us!   One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp the prize goes up to $50!

Here's how I was inspired by this month's challenge.  This month I focused on the sketch:

I'm going to squirrel this one away for my brother's December birthday.   Don't you love the font on the sentiment?  It is the SugarPea Designs HB2U stamp set.  I did a bit of masking.  The sketch called out for me to add the celebrate + you SugarCuts, don't you agree?

Hero Arts - Merry Christmas Poinsettia

Hello and Happy Sunday!  How is your weekend going?  We went to a potluck luncheon yesterday, we brought 2 stockpots full of thai chicken curry.  Today I'm sharing a holiday design.  I guess I should get cracking on those cards for this year, eh?

The focal point is the Hero Arts Antique Poinsettia.  I stamped it out a couple of times and did some fussy cutting.

I stamped it on both a panel from the Foliage Mix Layering Papers and a panel from the Blush Mix Layering Papers.  I then colored over it with a darker shade of green and a darker shade of red marker.  I used my Zig Clean Color Markers.  I blended in the color with my fingers.

Isn't the Christmas Poster Background fun?  I stamped it in Soft Brown on a panel from the Earth Mix Layering Paper pack.  I watered down a drop of Delicata Gold refill with water and splattered in on top.

I finished off my card with the Merry Christmas Banner that I heat embossed in gold on a panel of vellum that I had in my stash.

This card was inspired by The Card Concept:

I was of course, inspired by the poinsettias + colors.  The dining room table inspired the earth panel in my design.

Reverse Confetti: thankful

Hello!  I'm back with a fall inspired thank you card.  Lately I've been designing with aqua, pink, orange...so it was a nice change to go to a very neutral palette.

The card base is Dark Roast with a panel of Stone.  Don't you love the Fall For You wreath?  It's been stamped on Cloud White and inked up with Midnight Dye Ink.  This is perfect to use with watercolors, I used Zig on Zig with no water.

I carefully clipped away at the Grateful, Thankful, Blessed confetti cuts.  It has been diecut in Premier Polar White.  Do you spy the customized Double Edge Scallop Border in Dark Roast?

I was inspired by Fusion Card Challenge.  I used both the sketch + the inspiration photo.

Precious Remembrance Guest Designer: Let it snow

Hello, I'm back featuring my final project as a Guest Designer for the Precious Remembrance Shop!

Today I'm playing with:

Coffee Love

Here's a quick gift wrapping idea.  I'm a big fan of treat bags and the plain kraft ones are the best for stamping!  Team it up with a card and instant giftie!

I love to give + receive gift cards.  I'll be the first one to say that I generally tuck them inside a card.  If you slip it inside stamped packaging, it takes it up a notch.  This bag didn't take long at all to embellish.  The stamps are from the Oh Christmas stamp set.  The speckles are from the Fall Colors set and have been heat embossed in white.

My card combines the Oh Christmas + Coffee Love stamp. A pop of green puts it right into the festive spirit of things

Thanks so much for stoppin' by today!!!!  A big shout out to Precious Remembrance for having me as a guest designer these last couple of month!  Make sure you check out the Precious Remembrance Shop blog!

Reverse Confetti November Blog Hop!

Today is the day!  It is the Reverse Confetti  November Release Blog Hop!  That means all the new release products that we've been sneak peekin' are now available in the shop!

You should have arrived here from Heather Hoffman's awesome blog!  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the fun which is the Reverse Confetti blog!

This month we welcome Laurel Seabrook as our 'Fetti Friend!

I have a fun gift duo to share with you!

Yup, I did it.  I'm not into scatilogical humor (as my friend calls it) but I couldn't resist!  I'll get back to that project in a smidge, first up is the card.

Snowpeeps, pink + orange = Yes, Please!

Oh my goodness, I adore the Cool Friend set.  I teamed it up with the All Framed Up confetti cuts.  The nordic pattern is from the Happy Winter set.  The cardstock is Piggy Bank and the ink is Flamingo.

I filled up a Bitty Window Bag with yogurt covered raisins for a fun treat:

Yes, I'm easily amused but when I initially bought those bitty boxes of raisins, it definitely wasn't for this project.  The sentiment was stamped with the Alphabetical stamp set...yes, I lined those letters up!  The Tag Duo confetti cuts was perfect and I used the stars from the Sno Awesome set.

I can't wait to hop around and see how my teamies were inspired!
